At last, an update!
This sky nearly cost me a brand new jumper, as one of the paint tubes slipped out of my hands as I was squirting paint into my palette, and I had a long smear of blue down the front of it. I was more worried about the paint though, as I'm running out of Cerulean Blue. I feel a trip to the paint shop looming.
Anyway, enough of the blethering on, here's what I've done so far:
Here's the whole thing:

I don't think I've got the colour quite right yet - I think it needs to be slightly green/greyer than I've done it, so I'll be painting over a thin colour wash in the morning, then making a start on the buildings.
Welcome to canvas and paints, I hope you like what you find here. This is a step by step account of the paintings I do, from pencil outline to finished piece. I mainly paint video game images to comission, to contribute to raising funds for 2 charities, Oxfam and Child's Play.

I am anti SOPA
I will not be posting anything here for 24 hours in protest at SOPA. If I knew how to make my site dark, I would, but I'm not that technically competent! Update on Thursday.

At last, an update!
I've been ill for several weeks (boring, I know) and haven't been able to paint, then it was Christmas, woo!
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, I certainly did, spending time with friends and family, eating far too much and having lots of fun. I made a few presents for people - a LEGO memory stick, that involved carving sections out of 2 six dot bricks then glueing a memory stick into the opening then glueing them all onto a thin 12 dot LEGO plate. I then put a message, some songs and a picture onto the memory stick and then sent it to my Secret Santee. I also made a Harry Potter wand memory stick for a friend at Durham Uni - that involved whittling a piece of dowel, cutting a slot at the hand end for a memory stick and epoxy resin-ing it in place then staining and waxing the stick after putting a loopy spiral of epoxy resin on it. I painted the spiral with gold nail varnish. Both were fun to do and the recipients were happy with them. I also made some Joy Division Oven Gloves oven gloves and pinny for another friend. Pictures of all of these, plus progress shots of a Bastion painting I've been working on will happen as soon as Dell deliver my new PC.
Yes, my rubbishy old PC bit the dust a couple of weeks ago, hence the total lack of updates (as well as illness and Christmas getting in the way). Dell have promised they are shipping my PC tomorrow, but I don't know how long it will take to get here.
Thank you for your patience and understanding, I am painting, and will have several images to post just as soon as I have my new PC.
Happy New Year!
